Fjaerland is a little town that lies in the heart of the Fjaerlands Fjord. With a population of roughly 300, the town is as peaceful and idyllic as one can imagine. The town is exquisitely situated, bordered by the fjord on one side and the Jostedal glacier on the other.

The Norwegian Glacier Museum, Norsk Bremuseum, designed by Sverre Fehn was built in 1995. The building is an experience in itself and has a large exhibit on glaciers: how they are formed, how they evolve over time and much more. During the warmer months a mini-ferry offers trips around the fjord.
